Haiku Week 1 - I received a challenge to join a group on flickr to post a picture with a haiku verse. A haiku is a Japanese poem composed of three unrhyming lines of five, seven and five syllables often reflecting on some aspect of the season or nature. This is my haiku for week 1

The week ahead - organise my workroom, lay out the background pieces for my projects, work in sketchbooks and make beads from sweetie wrappers

Have a good week - keep busy, keep warm!

Carolyn ♥

icily beautiful pictures.

Trying to get into a routine but kids returned - no school bus - they've gone to try to catch the public one ...somehow I have a feeling they'll be back !

Your world looks so cool.

I'm so glad you explained Haiku. I asked a poet once and they directed me to wikepedia which was not as clearly explained. With your explanation, I think i could give it a try.

Your photographs are stunning and the collage works so well. Winter truly is a magical time - as long as you don't have to go out in it!

Hello there!

I always love seeing your mosaics, they inspire me every time I see them and this one is especially beautiful, you have captured the magic of winter perfectly (its totally taken my mind off the disgusting brown slush all up our road and the horrendous black ice this morning!!)

Im very intrigued about your sweetie wrapper beads too - cant wait to see them!

Lots of love

Good luck with your sorting out - my sewing room is all decorated now, but I am reluctant to put everything back so I'm having a big declutter!
Like the sound of the sweetie paper beads - oh and I'd love to do a heart swap sometime - I've been thinking of ideas already! x

I love Haiku poems. They seem to be quite popular in the blogging world. Your mosaic is wonderfully pale and soft and wintery. You have a great eye for colour.
