sigh ... Heaven , I'm in heaven - Johnny Depp and THAT COLOUR !

I've never heard of those berries ! I love how you dye thingss naturally - we did it at college by all collecting heaps of things ... the stink was quite high I seem to remember ! Onion skin came out beautifully.

What is it about Cap'n Jack that's managed to capture the hearts of many a wench?
I've never heard of those berries, either. xx

Oh, Carolyn you go girl. Johnny Depp and soft natural mauve....The colors are fab. And it's obvious what we all think about Johnny ... I guess I'm too late to reserve a space at your house when he comes.

Yes it is true about Johnny Depp - they have already asked me to be Kieras Knightly's body double - I refused of course, because I shall be too busy helping Mr Depp off with his wetsuit!!

You see, I would never think of taking the Cap'n's headscarf as an inspiration - and yet it all makes sense! Lovely fella - I mean colours.

Now you've got me researching Skimmia japonica. I'm not familiar with this one. That is what caught my attention. Not your repeat of the photo of our Johnny;-) Gorgeous!

Your colors, I mean, heh heh.

Beautiful Carolyn and I love your skimmia dyeing too, very gentle colour.

The dyed fabric is to die for (pun intended, of course) and so is Johnny. Lucky Vanessa. Hopefully that Jolie woman doesn't steal him away on their latest movie together, aye?

I love those stitched leaves in the book-- and Johnny Depp-- though not in those Pirates movies-- but in his earlier movies.

Hey...any more news on Johnny coming to St. Ives??? Lucky you!

Beautiful hues created by the skimma berries (I will have to google them, see if we have something similar in Australia).

I've been playing with dyeing too...using eucalyptus leaves and a piece of rusty iron. Quite happy with the result.

Do you have a special project lined up for these lovely fabrics?

Oh it was most exciting to see Eliza. She resides at my home in Canada and other stuffed bunnies who are quite stuck up don't quite know what to make of her yet. I think they are starting to accept her. I hope atleast today being Easter sunday they are being nice to her.
