September wishes

I hope September brings a peaceful, calm feeling and some positive energy for getting back to work

I'm looking forward to Autumn nature walks, blackberry picking, making jam, natural dyeing, working in my various sketchbooks, catching up with projects (doing ok, just keep calm and carry on!) and just getting back into a working routine

Soft faded petals

September songs in our hearts

What do you wish for?

Calm and peaceful sounds good right now! Looking forward to those balmy September days, harvesting from the garden, making warming soups and casseroles, afternoon tea by the fire,Christmas lists, snuggly throws, and walks through the Autumn countryside.
Hope you enjoy what I know is your favourite season.

After the cold and rainy august, I wish a warm and sunny autumn for us, because I love the great colours of the trees, when the sun is shining.

Oh, I ADORE my September! It's the gracefully beautiful month. I like the air, the colors, the change from summer food to warm soups and stews. I like the cold nights, snuggling under the covers as the cold air blows in the open windows. Coffee and tea taste better in September. And I like YOU and red! (BIG HUG!)

September 1 always feels like New Year's Day to me too! Maybe it has something to do with the start of the school season. It's what I consider the start of my favorite season and a brisk freshness in the air, apples and apple cider, pumpkins, the changing colors of leaves. . . .

Lovely photo for your September calendar page. No autumn here and no change of season so I'm hoping for a productive month - getting my website done and the sketchbook project well underway!

Beautiful photo for September - wonderful colour. I love September too - the leaves turning from green to red to orange to brown, the smell of morning and the cool pinch of evening (sweatshirts and socks time!), tidying the garden and clearing the summer pots/baskets, snuggling up under blankies in front of the new dramas on tv (OMG Bouquet of Barbed Wire with Trevor Eve!!!!), pj's and fluffy slippers! Enjoy, x PS no, I haven't seen that film!

I had decided last year the Spring was my favourite season which surprised me as it had always been Autumn before. I think I was just dreading a long dark, wet Autumn because it had rained for most of August but I'm back to loving Autumn this year : ) It's the season I was born in, I love getting the fire on and using lots of wild berries and apples in delicious hearty puddings! Here's to lots of rich colours, crunchy leaves and bright days xxx

I love autumn and the feeling of winding down and resting after the hurly burly of summer. Walking through cool and misty woodlands amongst fallen leaves, picking up my favourites and taking them home to press and keep. Eating blackberries from the bushes after they have been rainwashed and making sure no little creatures are hiding within - oh well nothing's perfect..haha.

To visit the sea when the crowds are gone and smell the salty tang and seagull cry. To crunch leaves and watch the trees undress in splendid hues. To smell Autumn in the air and relish the joy of living in seasons natural rhythm. To enjoy your work and aspire to a blog of my own.
Ah, autumn, season of mellow fruitfulness.Sheer joy!

You all make me very envious☺ We are going into Spring where I live. And all though I do not mind spring with all its new life, I much prefer Autumn & winter. But your Autumns sound way better. I think I will have to migrate to the UK☺☺ Your Friend Elizabeth.

Oh & Thank You so much Carolyn for the lovely calendar page, I just love Hydrangeas.

I agree with most of the comments! Yes, the beaches when they are empty; rich, casseroley foods; hot water bottles; and getting all my jumpers out again :) I have a pink coat I didn't dare wear last year - and some great ceramic buttons I still have to sew on - I feel that this autumn is definitely going to be a pink coat one:)

Found this quote for my calendar page - 'September days are here, with the best of summer weather and the best of autumn cheer' - says it all for me.

...for everyone to see September as I do - not the end of the summer but a fresh start for the remainder of the year. Crisp Autumn days - great light & beautiful berries.
